How'd That Get There? Safety Covers For The Win!

Strange_Things_On_Automatic_Safety_Pool_Covers

Ideally the only things that will ever land on your pool safety cover or automatic safety cover are some rain or snow, a little wind-blown dirt and debris, and the occasional small critter. However, it’s reassuring to know that when other objects or animals find their way into your pool area, your cover can keep them from taking an unintended swim.

Some of the Crazy Things We've Seen on Pool Covers

We’d like to say “thank you” to our customers, first for choosing our products, and second for taking a moment to snap a pic when they see their pool cover demonstrating its worth! That should only happen after it’s clear nobody is in danger of course, but we do enjoy receiving your photos. Here are just a few of the things that customers have said landed on their pool cover:

  • Dogs_On_Swimming_Pool_Safety_Cover Pets and other wildlife. Your four-legged friend and two legged visitors don’t understand what a pool cover is, so they’re happy to show that it will support their weight. While we don’t recommend that they make a habit of hanging out on the cover, it will keep them out of the pool when they choose to test it.

  • Given that pools are generally in the backyard and cars are usually parked in front of or next to a house, it’s surprising how often vehicles attempt to take the plunge. Even more surprising to many people (though not to us) is how effective a pool cover is at keeping a car from making it all the way into a pool. How do you get a car out of this predicament? You’ll have to talk with your towing company about that!

  • If a tree falls in the backyard and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound? The answer to this age-old question is, yes, actually — it makes a loud crash! It also makes for a shocking visual image. But your pool cover will likely be unfazed. We can’t guarantee that it can support the biggest of trees, but we’ve seen some pretty sizable ones that end up resting comfortably on a cover.

And, of course, the list goes on.

Share Your Pool Cover Story

Again, the first action to take when something unexpected ends up on your cover is to ensure that any people or animals in the pool area are safe. But after that, if you can capture the moment and send us the picture, we’d love to see it. We know our pool covers are extremely strong and an excellent way to help ensure the safety of your family, but the visual evidence is always interesting! Have questions about our pool safety covers?
